LIVE - IN LOVERS, LIVING IN TROUBLE

As I headed home from church on Sunday, I saw something that looked like a street fight, spreading like wild fire. Trust me to enquire what was "gwan". It turned out to be a menace that is fast eating up the youths these days... On a closer range, a lady, I understand they call her Tami, was been forced out of by her brothers and her mum from her live-in lover's house. And guess what, SHE WAS RESISTANT.

She insisted she is going no where, neither is he packing out. I heard her mum lamenting..."Tami, no be so dem dey marry man, if he wan marry you, make e come pay your dowry, your papa pay my dowry" meanwhile, her brothers were trying to attack her lover and Tami insisted they ll have to kill her first before touching him.

Well, I gathered that Tami and her boyfriend, Austin, both students of a Tertiary institution have been cohabiting as "husband and wife" without any form of traditional commitment or whatsoever, and of course without the knowledge of their parents and family members. News even have it that she has had to abort twice and almost lost her life on the second one. She fetches water, cooks, wash his cloths, organise the house, warm his bed and gets beaten on the slightest situation, yet she is constantly monitoring him against other girls.

Despite her academics suffering brutally she is still hell-bent on staying with Austin no matter what anyone says. One of the compound women says to Tami's mother, "make una comot una pikin for this boy hand o,or pursue the boy comot for una pikin house o, because the way e dey beat am ehn, one day e go just kill am" while that was on, Tami's resistance has triggered her brother to slap her ruthlessly...Austin fights back and there is total chaos...Tami screams, "you people should leave my husband alone o, to get a husband is not easy o"...

A well-beaten Austin responds, "your husband? When did we get married? Who would marry a lady like you with these hoodlums as your brothers?... You could see visible flame on their heads...Tami, flared up, went for his jugular, "you must be joking, after all I have done for you, after you have seen everything" PANDEMONIUM. It went gaga...

You must have seen one or two of these kind of relationships, share your bit with us.

ECCL 3.1 For everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heaven.

Is it a wrong thing to do?

WHY YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM SHADY DEALS

Wura and her mother are in the bedroom...Wuras’ tears are almost filling a bowl now. She sobs on.

Mammi - Wura, these tears would not bring a solution to whatever it is that is making you cry. No matter what it is...it has to be spoken in words. Speak my child, open up to me, I am your mother and I will not kill you. Wura, did your husband catch you with another man? Or does he have other children out there? Tell me Wura... What is it?

Wura - Mammi, If only it had to do with that, I would not be worried at all.

Mammi - Then, what is it? Please go straight to the point before you give me hypertension here.

Wura - Mammi, Dapo has brought trouble to our home o.

Mammi - How? What has he done this time? Ahh Dapo, ma pa omo mi fun mi- meaning...Dapo, do not kill my child for me.

Wura - Mammi, this Sunday, after church, we got home and everyone was tired and needed rest. Dapo got on the bed and slept off almost immediately.

Mammi - ok?

Wura - Then his phone started ringing. Someone kept on calling continuously. I don't usually pick his phone so I put it on silence and proceeded to Tade's room to tell him to iron his school uniforms now that the light was on and I made sure he started ironing the first shirt before I left his room. By the time I got upstairs Mammi, my husband's phone has rung eleven more times by same number. So I decided to call back at least to tell the person that my husband would call back when he is awake. Before I could dial, the call came in again from that number and I picked it.

Mammi- Yes, so who is that person that is calling as if he is being owed money or what kind of wahala is that? Its only doctors that I know are called like that...abi has Dapo become a doctor?

Wura- Mammi, the person started "Now you don't want to pick my calls right? You think you can make away with our money just like that?" You son of a bitch accountant. Now let me warn you...time for warning has passed. You have touched the tail of the python, so expect its venom" Mammi, at this point, I Screamed Yeee, Mogbe...Dapo...the man went on and said...’’Madam, I pity you and your only child’’

Mammi - Yee, mogbe, my only grand child. Ahh! What has your husband done?

Wura - Mammi, then I woke him and told him what just happened, he said I should ignore them, they are some of his greedy business associates and that they can't do anything.

Mammi - Ask him very well, let him confess what he has done and go and give them their money back immediately. Are you people not rich enough? Why is he owing somebody money?

Wura - Mammi, just yesterday the security man brought an envelope and it was addressed to me. So I opened it and guess what I saw Mammi.

Mammi - What's inside the envelope, tell me...

Wura- Two pictures of Tade...
Mammi- Yeee! Tade? Haaa. Dapo has finished me.

Wura- The first picture shows Tade arriving at school in the morning and the other one of the him entering the car after school.

Mammi- They are monitoring my grandchild? For what? What has he done to them? Give me your phone let me call Dapo right away.

Wura- Mammi, Dapo has switched off his phone for a while now, so that he cannot be reached. Mammi, they also added a short note saying "tell your husband to give us our money or say good bye to your son Olutade Oladapo''

Mammi- Screams...Haaa Dapo..Dapo has finished me.

Wura- Resumes her tears...
Now the bowl might just get filled as both mother and child are sobbing.

You have read it.
What should Wura do? Tell the police and possibly get the husband sacked and jailed? Or
keep quiet and risk their only son's death ?
When couples discover that their partners are into crimes, what should they do?

1 Timothy 6:9-10
But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs -

Bondedhome Counsellors, please advice Wura, her husband and every other couple who might be experiencing such.

IS IT ACTUALLY A COMPLEMENT WHEN MEN SAY ''YOU LOOK SEXY''?

If you were in my shoes, as a lady at my age and stage, you would probably do same or even worse than I have done. When I was recruited as Secretary to the Chairman in an oil and gas servicing company in South South Nigeria, I needed to impress and oppress anyone that cared to stare. And guess what? I had a billion bunch of guys who queued up daily to have a lustful look at my "gifts". I really know I have it.

Aside being beautifully made, I am a beauty in all ramifications. Thanks to my mother who is half Nigerian and Half Indian. So, guys flocked around me. The guys in my new company would just say "fine girl" and I smile, blush and sometimes act as if it were a lie. My direct boss, the Chairman would take it the next level and nicely say, "Helen, you look sexy"...I think I found more satisfaction in that than anyone just calling me "fine girl". My chairman is however married and his family lives in the U.S.

Naturally, my Boss and I drew closer, and things got groovier when we had to work late. As a high-tech Secretary that I am, I would always try to look sharp, always with my hour glass and constantly dotting-off any spot on my face on a per second check. My boss kept on showering these praises on me "You Are Sexy".... I liked it and took it very serious. As he usually would need to prepare urgent proposals...one of those evenings, I dropped my pen right in his front and bent to pick it up, with my short gown prepared to nicely give way for my G-string...

My boss flared up..."How dare you do that? Look let me tell you, the day you try that again, you would be gone. Are you about to turn this office to a brothel or what? I must tell you Helen, if its not for Chief Tejiri (My uncle) who referenced you, I would have shown you the way out since. I warn you sternly...Don't ever do that here anymore"

He rained all the insults on me. This left me very confused...I thought I helped his guts. If he says I'm sexy everyday, what does he mean? I am not the type that would throw herself at just any man...but he has been telling me everyday that I look sexy...and yet too slow to make the move.

When a man tells you, you look sexy, what does it imply?
Where did I go wrong in this?

1 Corinthians 6:19
Dont you realise that your body is the temple of the holy -spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself
20: For God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body.

MODERN SLAVERY

Work Work Work...that's all I hear these days. He wakes up as early as 4am getting set for work and arrives at night, not earlier than 11pm everyday. My husband, Jude now gives all his attention to his work at the expense of us, his wife and children. Yes, he is the best husband any woman can have and he sure works very hard to satisfy us but I still need him present at home, we need him.  Since he got a job with this new company...we lost him. Even at home, he is thinking of work on his table at the office. My children keep asking "where is daddy?"

Before daddy comes in, they are already asleep and before they wake up, he is off to work...for me that is still up, if I touch him this way or that way...he complains, "honey I am very tired" so for weeks, we hardly make love. Instead, he would bring out files and continue working till about 2am...
Come to think of it, yes, the pay is better than what he used to earn and I am happy for that...but I don't want him away all day and all night, everyday. I have been bearing this for the past six months and I am writing now because he is now on admission due to high blood pressure.
This is the third admission in 2 months. Doctors say he needs rest.

Bondedhome Counsellors, I had to cut the long story short. Only if Jude and all of us who do white collar jobs look inward and put all those hours, resources, abilities and potentials into our own jobs, our own creations; by now, we would all be smiling to the bank in our own little ways.

Deut 28:12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.

Note: This verse did not say and to bless the work of your Masters hand.

This is a statistic I drew up from my white collar sojourn so far..I do 9hrs daily, 54hrs weekly, 234hrs in a month, 2802 hrs in a year and now 14,040hrs in 5yrs. Now take a second and calculate yours. Done? Now imagine if you have put  all those hours into your own business? Wouldn't it have yielded? Don't get me wrong. I know some people who are very comfortable with their white-collar income...this may not be your article...but don't forget, "you can't be richer than your boss". The richest men and women are those who run their own businesses.
Instead of wallowing reluctantly in a company that is not currently rewarding you commensurately, has no health system for you and your family, operate a miserly packaged pension scheme, that is if there is any at all...and would gladly sack you on any slightest error...and stand the risk of incessant high blood pressure...why don't you think of liberating yourself.

What do you think?
Is she making a point?
Are you satisfied with your work statistics viz a viz your achievements?

WHO IS YOUR NEXT OF KIN: HELP!!! MY HUSBAND NOW APPEARS TO ME IN MY DREAM.

I woke up panting, my husband had appeared to me again...I don't know if that was a dream or he was actually in the room. God please help me.

If not for the fact that I need to stay alive for my children, I don't see any reason why I should still be here. My late husband married me when I was only 16 and he promised to send me to the University as we grow together and if our first child was a son. Well, first child came and he was a son...I was a big joker to think he would keep his promise as even my husband did not go beyond primary school and he has become successful. Yes, very successful. He is a plumber and God has blessed him with several jobs that major government contractors have re-contracted to him. "Like play like play" my husband built a house, built a second one and properties spread everywhere. I know my husband was very rich...very rich but that is all I know about his wealth. He literarily provided everything in the house; from my needs to the children's need, to the relatives...to the smallest match box we used in the house. My responsibility was to be a full housewife and take care of the children which I did dedicatedly for 35 years with four children to show.
Our children are now in the university and they are all doing fine until the 11th day of Sept, 2013, that dark day, we lost our husband and father to a ghastly motor accident and that introduced me to how poor we have been, yet in wealth. A befitting burial was given to him and all expenses were settled by his brothers.
Our children study outside the country, in Ghana to be precise and our sole breadwinner, my husband usually gives them sufficient money to carry them for 3 months. Burial is now over and they have to go back to school.      I simply headed to his bank with a cheque book I found in the room hoping to access cash for our upkeep. His account officer who has practically become a family friend welcomed me nicely, took the cheque book I had and said, "Ma, this account has been very dormant for a long time. He didn't really use this account. How else may I help you madam?" He asked "I need money from my husbands account so that my children can go back to school" I said. "Hmmm, madam I am afraid there seem to be a mix up here, I believe you are aware that your husband made his brother Chief. Egbu his Next of Kin and that implies that he is the only one that can actually access his cash" he said to me. I couldn't interpret that information to its detail but I sensed there was big trouble "How?" I screamed" He led me into an office and continued "madam, Chief Egbu even came here with a Letter of Administration from the court.
This document enables him to access all the cash in your late husbands account. He even swore to me that you are fully aware and that you would have come with him to the bank if not for an emergency you needed to sort out" Hmmmm, I fainted.
Dear reader, as at time of this letter, my husbands account officer has confirmed to me that my husband had close to N100Million before his death and this money has been transfered into a foreign account. I am dead alive. I died. How come my husband kept me In the dark? I cry all day and at night, my husband appears to me, trying to whisper
Inaudible words to me. I don't know if its a trance or I'm dreaming or hallucinating, I really do not know, I am loosing my mind every second, please advise me what to do, where do I start from?
my children are still at home now the school fees has not been cleared, I am gradually dying, I need help. What would happen to our future?
Bondedhome Counsellors, you have read her story...

Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined unto his wife and they two shall be one flesh.

DON'T POKE ME WITH YOUR BOOBS...I can Sue you

Dearest Fan, how is your year starting? I trust its beginning well. Let us in every way try to put God first in all we do this year. This week I picked another terrific insurgence that is fast taking every where...PLS READ AND DO YOUR BEST TO CURB IT.

‘’The interview was concluded and it was time for me to decide who gets the International Management Trainee Position. I chose the second best lady, not the best. My decision appeared irrational as the other members of the panel wondered why I will go for the second best. It was simple and very personal. The supposed best candidate was poking me with her bulging boobs. I considered that very rude and loose. To me, her dress sense was not appealing. It was harrassing. Surprisingly, every other person on the panel scored her more marks than the second best lady who was properly covered. The argument began. "Sir, why are we hiring the second best?" Mrs. Ije quizzed,
"She is not second best, she is actually the best of them all. You term her second best because her boobs are properly covered? Because she is decently dressed? And your choice candidate is best because she has all her boobs out?" I yelled. "Sir, I don't understand" "why won't you misunderstand, when you are also a culprit... "Sir, is this a personal issue or something?" "Madam Ije, I looked straight into her eyes, call it whatever you like, this indecent dressing in this company must stop and it starts with you. I would not open my eyes and recruit a young lady that is already exposing her boobs at Entry Level, by the time she becomes manager, what would she wear? And what picture of the company would she give our clients?" and I stormed out."
How can a married woman dress like that always, and now she is trying to bring in a new staff just because she dresses that way too..."

People, what has happened to our ladies/women both single and married? The supposed statement of showing-off a little cleavage has gone bizarre, outrageous and whore-ish...it is now a common thing for ladies and women to poke you with their uncovered boobs everywhere you go, offices, streets even in churches.

Men are moved by what they see and when a lady's boobs are visibly too generous, the signal is not fashion. It is totally sexual, immoral, lustful and devilish. For a disciplined man, you immediately would pass for a very cheap and desperate lady and for an indisciplined man, you simply are a whore or a one-night stander whom he should lay with as fast as possible.
Worse still, some ladies don't only open their boobs to public glare, they leave their waistline to reveal in most cases, very ugly stretch marked buttocks...this can be very annoying.

Although some have argued that being properly covered and appearing decently dressed doesn't make one a decent person...this might be true...it however doesn't negate the fact that you would be addressed the way you are dressed.

The Bible, Holy Book in 1 Corinthians 6, 19;20
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the HolY Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20: For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Please if you have a sister, aunty mother or friend who dresses that way...kindly share this view with them, it might just change their psyche.

When married women dress very revealing, what does this imply?

What statement is made when you encounter such awkward fashion choice either excess cleavage or exposed buttocks?

Why aren't ladies ashamed at baring it all out?

If your sister dressed that way, would you encourage it? If no, then share this information.

Are there any justifiable reasons for this kind of dressing?

The floor is now open.

WOULD YOU WATCH YOUR DAUGHTER SMOOCHING?

My dear reader, last week we looked through Derrick who appeared stuck in a metaphoric prison he architected with his own hands - He is married to an older lady whom he is unable to MAN. The story swept through pages of the internet as other bloggers, publicists and all, most of them did the ignorant, shameful and plagiarized "copy and paste without reference style", making it look like it were their original works thus taking all the comments that were meant to be here to their blogs, fb pages et al. It is simply ignorant and foolish for anyone to copy and paste without referencing the source. Isn't it?

Click to see the faces of some of them that copied bondedhome verbatim without proper referencing.

Yours Truly,
My mail was jam-packed with issues by this weekend, I chose to share this with you because it arrived first.
Please read on...and give your candid comments as you always do.

"I just want you guys to tell me where and how I am wrong in all these. My wife and daughter returned from the UK, truth-be-told, it was due to the fact that I could no longer afford their UK stay after one of the State Govts in Nigeria have refused to pay me despite putting almost all I have in the contract awarded some years ago. To cut the long story short, my daughter, Brenda and her mother, my wife moved back home and we live in Lekki, Lagos. My daughter, 21 now in one of our private Universities usually come home during breaks.

This break, broke everything.
One evening, I returned from a Town’s meeting and looked through the yard and saw a young man by the poolside, holding Brenda’s waist like trying to cuddle her, out of this sudden anger, I called out loudly. Brenda, of course she would not hear me, they had loud music down there. I became furious and went to my wife ...I would have gone to give that guy the beating of his life but my wife was closer so I went to her first...Who is that guy with Brenda? I asked, "Which guy?" She asked me with an attitude, as if... don't you know him? Now boiling, "who is that guy’’ I asked again ."He is Brenda's friend". ‘’Brenda's friend???’’ I screamed.  ‘’Holding her like that in my yard", what impetus, what impudence, aiye e ma ta loni... (paraphrased, You will be in great trouble today)  Next thing was for my wife to begin a sermon to me on how I am being too harsh to our only child and daughter and how i am old-fashioned about life...let me try and quote her or at least say all I remember.

"Brenda is no longer a baby, at age 21, she has the right to bring friends home, whether male or female? Don't forget she is my daughter too. Olaitan, please things have changed, there are so many old ladies out there that no one is even looking at, let alone marrying them...at 21 is she a kid? Isn't she ripe for marriage?, I ask you? It is okay to allow her bring her friends or anyone she loves home, so that we would not be left in the dark about her life.."By the time she was done, I took the long walk to the pool side and guess what I saw...I saw no one. My instincts told me to check the dressing room, I slammed the door open and there she was, Brenda and the young man were half-naked. The young man took off into the yard, I went after him, picked up a plastic chair, threw it at him, he dodged it and slipped into the pool. It turned out he doesn't know how to swim...by the time the security man rescued him, we got his pulse but he remained unconscious. As at the time of this mail, he is still unconscious, doctors are  still on him...

I PRAY HE DOESNT DIE BUT I AM NOT SORRY IF HE SURVIVES OR NOT.

Now my wife, daughter and the guys parent seem to be pointing fingers at me and would soon involve the police.

I got this address on twitter, dictated this to my secretary to send to you so that I can get your views, the social media view where it is okay for a young unmarried lady to be smooshing under her fathers roof...

What  have I done wrong?
What was I supposed to do?
When is the right time for a lady to bring a man home?
I dont understand my wife, she knew the young man and his parents.

Tell me please.

You have read it. This got me really displeased as bondedhome does not belong to the group that promotes immorality of any sort. Please good people, let us look at this issue.
The floor is now open.

HOLD ON...BEFORE YOU MARRY MUMMY

**Special Offer**

BONDEDHOME has a special gift for the writer of the 100th and 200th comment on this story. Note: ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE & RELEVANT COMMENTS WOULD BE CONSIDERED. As you drop a comment add a valid email address. Happy New Year

I trust your week has been splendid with the Christmas celebrations nicely tucked in while we welcome one of our best years ahead.
Kindly read Derrick's' story keenly as it appears his case is unique.
Please read on...
"Four years ago when Nkechi and I were to get married, my family and friends had very mixed, turpsy-turvic feeling about us.
They supported me not US. Since it was my call, they all pretended to be happy for me. My wife as at then was 39 while I was 30. She was my new boss at the office and we got along really quick. I was cock sure it was love. Although she sounded like she needed to get married as soon as possible but I didn't see any problem with that. Its only normal. Nkechi possesses the beauty of a decorated queen and her maturity caught me. Let me not bore you.
Right now, my wife looks like a deserted queen. She is 44 and I am now 35. We have found it difficult to conceive, and to worsen it, I decided to leave the job as the company policy does not allow couples and as she is already a boss, I decided to look elsewhere using her contacts. So far, all the appointments I have got has been temporary and this time, I have been out of job for the longest time. I am very frustrated.
Now, my wife has suddenly become distant or am I the one staying away? She tries to mother me rudely as if I were a kid.
I really cant tell what the problem really is, I don't have cash, she is not releasing cash under the guise that all the money is being spent on her health, we don't have any child, everyone is crossed with me and us, my parents want me to take another wife, infact a virgin, my wife now looks very unattractive, she is just like my aunty, old and now insultive. Gosh, i was so blind. Please tell me, can i ever get out of this? Truly I need fresh breathe. I am considering telling her to walk out of my life but the Nkechi I know is not a push over, especially with court marriage in place. Please advice me. I will be reading everyday. Thank you"

You have read it, kindly be as candid as you can ever be.

Is it okay for a man to marry a woman older than him?

What extent of influence should family and friends have one's' choice of partner?

Can an older lady actually submit to a younger guy in marriage?

Advice Derrick...
