Many have reached me
requesting for a completion of the TELEPHONE HEADLOCK saga. I promise that
would be laid to rest in no time.
Meanwhile, Jude is in a
tight corner and he needs our advice. He just got a real employment after six
years doing active menial jobs...now he has got something to call a job, a job
in his field of study. He qualifies as an Industrial Maintenance Engr. and he
has gathered a lot of experience in the past six years of field work. The job
requires him servicing heavy duty machines, replacing damaged parts, procuring
newer versions of some of them and giving management detailed report of the
status of the machines. Enthusiastically, he goes about his job daily until one
day when one of his colleagues told him he is being too plain to management.
"How do you mean too plain?” Jude asked.
"You no wake up"...Kris
told him. If you continue like this, you no go fit buy car in five years, you
think say na my salary I take dey survive for this company?" In confusion,
Jude says “Oga Kris, just come out straight, I don't understand you”
I took a look at it truly
and It dawned on me how these guys whom we all got recruited same day have
rapidly moved ahead of me. Their wealth just keeps increasing while I seem okay
with my simple, stable salary- earning growth...it all made sense to me now.
They had been boycotting company jobs, inflating prices, destroying appropriate
records and now stealing gadgets from the office...
This sure explains the
sudden acquisition of cars and the urge to go shopping abroad, lands they
bought and one of them has even started to build...they are even importing
ladies too service them from other states… I got a clear picture. They have
been ripping off the company. I became really tempted to join them. It looked
really harmless, after all they have made it thus far and no one has coughed…
but why shouldn’t I, I asked myself... Please what should I do? My colleagues
are diverting company jobs and even stealing its equipment's to enrich them, and
sincerely, I have more chances than them if I venture into this…
What should I do? I just
can't seat back and watch things go on like this...i either join or join…or
either join or make management know… please advise me, what are my chances?
People, how should we
really handle this situation? considering the possible consequences of his decision.
Over to you…

Ripping off is a relative term though. But if its in the bad light please look away and be more diligent and contented with your earnings. If the temptation gets too strong please be the saviour of the firm by reporting anonimously to the security or fraud department for immediate action. Remember if the company go under you go under too.
ReplyDeleteHe should ask himself some questions like, ..if he owns a business and his staff are ripping him off, will his business stand? For a moment, let him put himself in the shoes of the owner or management of the company. I'm sure he'll be shocked. Besides, one can only grow in an organization when he is both perceived and seen as approaching his duties as his own. Even in the world of cultism and terrorism, until you have shown allegiance to the leaders, even above your personal desires by either killing your friend or family member, you won't rise to the top. Tell your colleagues to desist from such evil act. And if they persist, tell the management what is happening and let them devise a means on how to track them down.
ReplyDeleteReport and apprehend them than allowing to destroy the future of many
ReplyDeleteJoin them of course, I no come count bridge for lagos
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I will be furious with them
ReplyDeleteMy guy, cover your head and be wise.
ReplyDeleteGuy , just look the other way, not my business until management knows some day.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that joining them is wot majority, if not all will do. Moves like that can facilitate one's drastic upgrade, even more than expected. But the fact remains that the "Wages of sin is Dead" I no its not easy, but Jude try not to join.
